before 7:00 outside of the little girl's home, at 42nd and pennsgrove street. mcclane's family says she ran to get a ball that rolled into the street, when the car hit and dragged her. witnesses cents say, a car stopped to let the girl cross, but the driver behind that person decided to go around the stopped car, and that's when the girl was struck. we're told she is in stable condition. now, the vehicle was last seen headed eason girard avenue from 38th street. the person who followed the driver didn't realize the syringe tim was a little girl. -- victim was cents a little girl. >> if i knew it was 57 year old i would have probably stopped him. i wanted his tag number because i knew he hit somebody. if i new seven year old, no telling what i would have done. and, as for the car, police are looking for a lime green mitsubishi out lander with a pennsylvania license plate number jky7458. police are asking anyone with information to contact them to help them with this

investigation. we're live right outside of chop. syma chowdhry, cbs-3, "eyewitness news". syma, thank you. two fires break out in the mt. airy apartment building. now authorities say they do not appear to be accidental. firefighters returned to the chestnut terrace apartments on stenton avenue early sunday morning. our cameras cents were there as crews evacuated the building. they later found evidence indicate that somebody used gasoline to start fires on the first and third floors. most residents were sleeping when the fires broke out. >> we didn't know if we really should be going. something said open the door to check. when i opened, i saw black smoke. within a minute it was just dark. >> two people were taken to the hospital. one was treated for second agree burns. some residents are getting help from the red cross. your time is 5:31, let's get your traffic and weather together. here's kate. >> i hey, ukee, good morning, everybody, our monday will feature certainly more clouds cover than what the weekends

brought. i mean, how could you beat that? the weekends was so nice. but, we are going to once again rival the warmth out there today. i do think we've got real good shot to make a run at 80 degrees again today, which is well above our average. normal high on this particular day of the year 73. so it is going to ends up being a very, very warm day for the standards. actually off to warm start which we will talk about in a second. quick peak at storm scan3, region wide zoom. definitely seeing a lot more cloud cover certainly. that again will limit the sunshine, as it tends to do. but you see all of that wet weather rolling into central virginia, you don't have to worry about. that will on the back edge of high pressure at this point, so with that said, you will draw in little bit more of southwesterly component to the winds flow, bit of milder more moisture rich air mass, part of the reasons we're seeing the clouds. we don't have to worry about rain. meanwhile actually seeing surplus of thermometer, even compared to yesterday, which was actually quite mild for the standards of late september. 3 degrees in addition to what we saw this same time yesterday morning in philly, and the list goes on, where it

is even miler, allentown 8 degrees warmer than yesterday at this time. what's that mean when it translates to temperature readings in 65 degrees, the airport right now, so clearly, off to nice warm start for the standards. even 55, in mount pocono, not bad. sixty-one in atlantic city, list goes on, where you have the west southwest component to the winds flow to help usher in the clouds that act cents cents cents as blanket to trap in the heat. so, because we're off to mild start, we will have no problem getting into the 70s, even by lunchtime. but don't expect too much sunlight as a result. by 3:00 p.m., hey, 80 degrees, if you can handle the clouds, and high pressure eventually will yield for another frontal boundery, that by tomorrow, could bring shower or storm. we will talk about our wet weather chances, a little later in the show. for now, though, vet tore y we send it over to you. >> thank you so much, katie. good morning, everyone. right now the chances for huge rush are pretty slim. still pretty early as we're at around 5:30. let's get outside. see how you are doing. if you are traveling the

schuylkill expressway, right around 202, both sides of the fence look great. eastbound and westbound moving no problems around king of prussia and really no problems anywhere. traveling around your western suburbs, even center city philadelphia, lots of good news. same thing with 95, if you are trashing around the commodore barry bridge, both southbound, northbound, traveling well. northbound, disable on the shoulder there. because of no volume, not dealing with any major problems. we'll keep an eye on, that guys. we continue, looking at the speed censors, traveling still beautifully all over, 54 your average on 95, 49 traveling on the schuylkill, a four traveling on 476. pa turnpike, 402, 42 it, all moving real well. we still however have downed pole situation in delaware. stanton, christianna road at delaware park boulevard, this is blocking the right-hand lane. so if you can, try to avoid it. we look at the bridges, the ben, the walt, the come core barry, everything in the green, pack pal bridge put back down, i would say about 15 minutes ago. things moving great on 73,

trading begins on high note. dow added 167 points on friday, the nasdaq, gained, 45. well, you know it has been a screwy few days when blackberry is having a better week than apple. blackberry boasted it received more than 200,000 orders for its new passport phone, just few days after it was announced. that square phone is already sold out of its initial supply, on the blackberry website, and also amazon. and, dunkin' donuts now offering some more grab and go snack options. the company's introduced a new granola bar, 7 grams of protein, 220 calories, and of course, it is flavored with dunkin' donuts coffee. and, a cool feature, new corvette corks actually be against the lawment general motors is warning 2015 corvette owners not to use vallet mode. that lets owners secretly record conversations and performance data in their cars when they are not there. like when the cars being parked by a vallet. but gm says it realized those

>> breaking news in today's headlines. search on for cause of huge house fire in montgomery county. no injuries, but considerable damage to the home on east wind circle, upper dublin township. >> also, police looking for the driver of lime green mitsubishi out lander, want in the connection with the hit-and-run in west philadelphia. seven year old girl is in the hospital with injuries. three people are in the hospital after a three-car crash in june at a2 people being treated for serious injuries, another under evaluation. the accident just before 1:00 this morning, erie avenue and m street. police continue to investigate the cause. convicted killer jodi arias back in phoenix courtroom today as she awaits to learn her punishment for killing her boyfriend. jury selection starts today in the penalty phase of her trial. she admits killing her boyfriend, but says it was cents in self-defense. prosecutors want to give arias the death penalty. the first jury dead-locked on

immediately drawn to for one thing, a lot more cloud cover starting to build in the delaware vale. also see the little streaks of precipitation, sort of rolling in from southwest to northeast. you don't need to worry about wet weather today. this next front, that is going to be the next shot for showers and storms. and if you will notice, yet, there is purple showing up, indicating snow, ice, firing across portions of canada. now we do not have to worry about that here, but it is starting to get to be that time of the year. turning cold enough, northern latitudes, to bring in little bit of snow. meanwhile, let's take quick check on p tropics, which by the way still in the midst basically of the height of hurricane season, still not seeing too much. there is a little disturbance showing very minimal signs of development, out over the central atlantic, i'm not wore bid that, but we are going to eventually see high pressure shove that basically out of the way. then we see our next cold front come along. here is how the wind flow is at the moment. notice, obviously not so much the word cam, not so much wore

476, not too far away from the mid-county toll plaza, if you are headed out of the area of the turnpike, northeast extension, once up get to the blue route, in the clear. then also making your way down toward the schuylkill, 95, even once you get to those highways, you look just as nice. let's take a look at new jersey for second. this would be the northbound side of the 42, where you see the headlights here, approaching 295, still looking great. you can see, good amounts of space inbetween the vehicles there. southbound on the 42, no problems, and really all of the new jersey majors are in the green. speaking of being in the green, again, great news. fifty your average on the schuylkill, 55 on 95, same thing blue route. if you are traveling, however, in the montgomery county area, west chester pike at laurence road between 9:00 a.m., 3:00 p.m., ongoing construction, just keep that in mine if that's where you are headed. as far as mass transit and the airports concerned, again, everything running on time, in the green all over, lots of good news, however, maybe when traffic takes a turn for the worse, probably good idea is when you are on the road; get that updated back up
